Coastal holiday destinations close 2025 with better performance than urban destinations (+3.9%), thanks to generalized revenue growth (up 7.0% year-to-date through November), according to the latest report from Perspectivas Turísticas by Exceltur, the group that brings together the country's leading tourism companies.
Lanzarote's hotels increased their profitability per room by 10.2% in 2025, the largest growth in the Canary Islands, reaching 127.8 euros.
Thus, Lanzarote's hotels become the **sixth most profitable in the country in their beach destinations**, only behind **Ibiza**-Formentera (170.3 euros), **Costa de Barcelona** (146.5 euros), **Menorca** (135.6 euros), **Gipuzkoa** (129.6 euros), and **Gran Canaria**, whose hotels increased their room profitability by 7.8% during 2025 to 128.9 euros.
The profitability of hotels in Lanzarote, with the exception of Barcelona and San Sebastián, also surpasses all urban destinations, including the city of Madrid, whose hotels increased their profitability by 9.1% to 127.2 euros.
The only Spanish island where profitability increased more than in Lanzarote was **Menorca, specifically by 13% to 135.6** euros.Meanwhile, hotels in **Tenerife** increased their profitability by 3.8% in 2025 to 124 euros per room and those in **Fuerteventura** by 2.9% to 96.9 euros
Emerging northern destinations, especially in the Basque Country and Galicia, are seeing notable increases in 2025, although they start from much lower prices than in the islands: Costa de Bizkaia (+21.2%) and Gipuzkoa (+9.6%) in the Basque Country and the Rías Altas in Galicia (+14.5%)
