The unions and the Las Palmas Federation of Hospitality and Tourism Business Owners (FEHT) have reached a pre-agreement this Friday that would avoid the strike planned for Holy Week in the sector, union sources have reported.
The FEHT will meet this Saturday, first thing in the morning, to decide whether to endorse what has been agreed, and the unions will also discuss it with the workers' representatives, reported the deputy general secretary of UGT, Francisco González.
The union representative has not revealed the terms of the pre-agreement, which has been reached after several unsuccessful meetings in recent days and very close to the Holy Week holidays.
In the event that both parties ratify the progress made in the negotiation, they will report on it at a press conference on Saturday morning.
