The Lanzarote company CICAR participates one more year in ITB Berlin 2026, reinforcing its commitment to the German market within the joint strategy of the public and private sector of the Canary Islands. The international fair, which is held in Berlin from March 3 to 5, constitutes one of the main tourist showcases worldwide.

In 2025, German tourism represented 15% of the total visitors in the Canary Islands, with almost three million people. It is a strategic market for the archipelago, not only for its volume, but also for its loyalty, high average stay, and its high level of spending.

One of the three most important tourism fairs in the world

The German tourist who chooses the Canary Islands stands out for their interest in rest, the climate and the beaches, but also for their growing sensitivity towards nature, active tourism and cultural manifestations. This profile fully fits with the flexible mobility proposal that CICAR offers on all the islands.

Within the framework of the fair, the Minister of Tourism and Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands, Jéssica de León, visited the company's stand, where she was received by CICAR's commercial director, Ramón Valiente. During the meeting, both parties agreed on the importance of continuing to strengthen connectivity and the quality of the service to maintain the position of the Canary Islands among the preferred destinations of the German market.

The ITB Berlin is considered one of the three most important tourism fairs in the world and represents an essential event to learn about sector trends and consolidate relationships with tour operators, agencies, and international professionals.

CICAR, leading company in the rent a car segment in the Canary Islands, is part of the Cabrera Medina Group, a family-structured business group with presence on all islands. The company has offices in airports, ports, tourist areas, and strategic points of the archipelago, offering a comprehensive service that facilitates the mobility of visitors who opt for a self-drive rental car.
