Canary Islands received almost 1.5 million foreign tourists in November: they spent more, but stayed for less time

One in every four international travelers who visited Spain during November landed in the Canary Islands

Canary Islands received 1,461,395 foreign tourists in November, 0.9% more than in the same month of 2024, according to data published this Friday by the National Statistics Institute (INE).

The archipelago thus accumulated the arrival of 14,244,347 visitors residing abroad in the first eleven months of 2025, 3.4% more than a year ago, according to the latest Tourism Movement on Borders Frontur Statistics released by the INE.

This reveals that, overall, Spain received 5.8 million international tourists in November, 2.1% more than in the same month of 2024, while from January the number of international tourists arriving in Spain reached its highest figure, nearing 91.5 million.

Furthermore, the Tourism Expenditure Survey for November 2025, also published this Friday, announces that visitors residing outside the national territory spent a total of 2,241 million euros in the Canary Islands, an increase of 1.7% compared to what they spent a year ago.

The average expenditure of each of these tourists also grew compared to November 2024, albeit to a lesser extent, by 0.8%, reaching 1,533 euros, although the average duration of their stay on the islands decreased by the same proportion, 0.8%, remaining at 8 nights.

The average daily spending of each of these visitors, for their part, increased by 1.6%, reaching the amount of 192 euros.
