Canary Islands, conquering the millionaire tourist in Cannes

Tourism participates for the first time in the most important luxury travel fair in the world to seduce high-net-worth travelers

Canary Islands Tourism is participating for the first time in ILTM (International Luxury Travel Market) Cannes, the most important luxury travel fair in the world, where it continues to "connect with the premium segment, a traveler of higher value and quality for the destination".

This tourist profile aligns with the strategy of the Ministry of Tourism and Employment of the Canary Islands Government, which is working towards a "more qualitative, sustainable, and differentiated" tourism model.

"The connection with this visitor who contributes to increasing the value generated by the destination without increasing tourist pressure" was already established at the last edition of the World Travel Market and will be the protagonist of the new winter 2025-2026 campaign of Turismo de Islas Canarias

The bet on this tourist is due to their high purchasing power and excellence, as well as their sensitivity towards the authenticity and environment of the archipelago. This is a traveler who values disconnection, nature, tranquility, local gastronomy, and activities that promote well-being.

With the aim of strengthening its connection with this segment, Turismo de Canarias was present at ILTM Cannes, which last year brought together more than 2,350 buyers from 84 countries and achieved a historic record with 85,000 professional appointments. The event is the meeting point for brands, destinations, accommodations, experiences, and providers in the luxury segment, in addition to more than 100 specialized editors and media outlets.

The fair's format guarantees previously scheduled agendas, with numerous meetings and participation in a global forum where professionals analyze trends, premium traveler behavior, and the evolution of the international market

Turismo de Canarias is present at ILTM Cannes along with Tenerife, an attendance that is co-financed by 85% by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
