Last August, the port of Arrecife received 9,405 cruise passengers, according to the Lanzarote Data Center with figures from the Las Palmas Port Authority.
The number of arrivals in August this year is 15.9% higher than the figures recorded in August last year and 27.2% more than those who arrived during the same month of 2019.
In addition, the new cruise season that has just begun in September reflects that the recovery of tourism traveling on transatlantic ships is on the rise.
The transatlantic ships Anthem of the Seas, and the MSC Virtuosa with 14,000 people, are boosting commercial and hotel activity in the capital of Lanzarote.
The Anthem of the Seas, which travels with tourists from the United States, is making several stops during this month of September. The ship, owned by Royal Caribbean, is one of the largest in its fleet, with circuits through the Canary Islands, Morocco and Portugal during this autumn.
