Airlines schedule 400,000 more seats for Lanzarote this winter compared to last year

The growth adds to the growth that occurred last winter, when programming grew almost 40% in César Manrique

Airlines have scheduled a total of 31,600 operations, 145 routes and 4.8 million scheduled seats for this winter at César Manrique-Lanzarote, of which 3.2 million are for flights with Europe, 1.5 for national flights and nearly 20,000 for the African territory. The British and national markets stand out for their offer.

That's 400,000 more seats than were scheduled last year for Lanzarote, when there was enormous growth in the number of routes (30 more) and seats, 39.3% more.

For the Canary Islands airports as a whole, airlines have scheduled 30 million seats, which is an increase of 4.2% more than in the winter season of the previous year, which this year begins on October 27, 2024 and will last until March 29, 2025.

Of the total, 18.5 million seats correspond to international flights and 11.3 million to national flights.

By airports, Gran Canaria Airport with more than 9.1 million scheduled seats, and 256 routes, is the one that will have the largest offer. Of these, 3.9 million have as origin/destination other points in Spain; 5 million, the rest of Europe, and nearly 130,000 the African continent, in the 63,800 planned operations. By markets, after the Spanish, the largest number of seats offered is with Germany, followed by the United Kingdom.

For its part, at Tenerife South Airport, airlines have scheduled 42,200 movements, 202 routes and 7.9 million seats for the winter season. Of these, 7.2 million are for European flights, nearly 600,000 for the national territory, 53,400 for Africa and 23,200 for North America. By markets, the number of seats offered with the United Kingdom, mainly London and Manchester, and Germany stands out.

From/to Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna Airport, 3.6 million seats have been offered, most of them national and reserving nearly 14,000 for European connections. For this period, 32,200 aircraft movements and 38 routes have been scheduled. The seats offered for connections with Madrid and Gran Canaria stand out.

As for Fuerteventura Airport, airlines have also scheduled 3.6 million seats in 23,600 operations and 134 routes. Of these, 2.7 million are for flights with origin/destination Europe and 924,400 for national flights. By markets, Germany, the rest of Spain and the United Kingdom stand out.

For its part, La Palma Airport will have 861,400 seats for this winter season, the majority, 678,400 seats, for national flights and 183,000 for international flights. In total, airlines have scheduled 9,644 movements and 23 routes. The number of seats offered in the national territory stands out, with Tenerife at the head, followed by Germany.

Finally, airlines offer 166,600 seats at El Hierro Airport in 2,314 operations and at La Gomera 88,704 seats and 1,232 movements, all of them in Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
