The Canary Islands will receive 10.6 million euros for the Youth Rental Bonus, according to the agreement of the Sectoral Housing Conference of February 2, 2022, which has been ratified this Thursday by the common regime communities in a new meeting of the sector held this Thursday.
Of the 200 million euros of the Youth Rental Bonus, Andalusia receives 34.2 million; Aragon, 7.6 million; Asturias, 6.6 million; Balearic Islands, 4.8 million; Cantabria, 3.8 million; Castilla y León, 10.8 million; Castilla-La Mancha, 8 million; Catalonia, 29 million; the Valencian Community, 22.8 million; Extremadura, 6 million; Galicia, 11.4 million; Madrid, 31.8 million; Murcia, 8.8 million; La Rioja, 3.4 million; and Ceuta and Melilla, 200,000 euros.
This aid is set at 250 euros per month, for a period of 2 years for each young person, in order to facilitate their emancipation or, in any case, access to enjoy a home or room for rent or transfer of use.
The next step is for the Council of Ministers to approve this agreement and, subsequently, the Sector Conference will meet again to ratify it.
Once ratified and completed the administrative procedures, the Executive will proceed to send the resolutions with the respective amounts to the autonomous communities so that they accept and the transfer can be made for their respective calls.
On the other hand, the Minister of Housing, Isabel Rodríguez, has submitted a report on the Housing Rehabilitation and Urban Regeneration Plan of the Recovery Plan, which is coordinated by the Ministry, and has stressed that the Government has already transferred to the autonomous communities 4,328 million euros of the 5,500 million that are within this Component of the Plan.
With these investments, agreements have been reached to build 24,463 homes, to rehabilitate 47,000 homes through the neighborhood rehabilitation program and the execution and processing of 600,000 homes in rehabilitation through the calls of the programs for rehabilitation of homes and buildings managed by the Autonomous Communities.
