The price of housing falls in Tías and Teguise in August

The price of housing fell in the municipalities of Tías and Teguise last August, according to data provided by the real estate portal idealista.com

In Teguise the price per square meter fell by 3.2% during August to 2,863 euros, although prices are still 20.9% higher than twelve months ago when it cost 2,368 euros. 

Also in Tías there was a drop in prices in August, specifically prices fell by 2.8% to 3,931 euros per square meter. However, the price is 12.9% higher than a year ago when it cost 3,481 euros. 

On the other hand, in Haría the price rose by 4.3% in August to 2,551 euros. Thus, it accumulates a growth of 21.4% in the last twelve months.

Also in Yaiza and Arrecife prices rose, although with less intensity, they did so by 0.7% and 0.3% respectively.

Thus, the square meter costs in Yaiza 3,808 euros, 10.1% more than it marked in August 2024. 

In Arrecife it experienced a slight increase of 0.3% in August to 1,983 euros per square meter. Thus, it accumulates a growth of 12% since a year ago when it cost 1,770 euros. 

The real estate portal did not report prices in San Bartolomé or Tinajo because there were not enough properties available. 

Meanwhile, the price of used housing in Spain has registered a year-on-year increase of 14.8% during the month of August, which places it at 2,498 euros per square meter.

Thus, prices at the national level reach the rate of growth in the Canary Islands, which are also 14.8% higher than a year ago. The square meter now costs an average of 3,080 euros in the archipelago.
