The supply of homes for sale in the province of Las Palmas has decreased by 7% during the second quarter of 2026, compared to the same period in 2025, according to a study published by idealista, the real estate marketplace of Southern Europe.
The decrease in the province formed by Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and Gran Canaria is identical to the national one, where the availability of houses for sale has also fallen by 7%.
By provinces, the number of homes for sale has only increased in Madrid (16%), the province of Valencia (2%), and Santa Cruz de Tenerife (1%). In the rest of the provinces, the supply has decreased.
The most moderate decreases have been recorded in Seville (-3%), Barcelona (-5%), Balearic Islands (-5%), and Malaga (-6%).
On the contrary, Palencia has experienced the largest reduction in supply, with a drop of 32%. It is followed by Zamora (-29%) and Salamanca (-24%).
Only nine provincial capitals have registered an increase in the volume of homes for sale during this period. The largest increase occurred in Madrid, where the supply grew by 23%. It is followed by Valencia (21%), Barcelona (9%), Seville (9%), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (9%), Malaga (4%), Pamplona (4%), Santander (1%), and Cuenca (1%).
In the rest of the capitals, the supply has decreased compared to a year ago. The largest drop was recorded in Palencia, with a decrease of 40%. Next are Ourense (-36%), Zamora (-35%), Melilla (-34%), and Ceuta (-32%). Also noteworthy are the drops in Jaén (-29%), Salamanca (-26%), Valladolid (-24%), and León (-23%).
Although increases have predominated in some of the main markets, the supply has decreased by 10% in Bilbao. In Palma, the decrease was 3%, while in Alicante and Donostia-San Sebastián, the reduction reached 2%.
