In the next Council of Ministers, the Government plans to approve a royal decree with a budget allocation that will help landlords in cases of non-payment when renting to young people or vulnerable families.
The measure was announced by the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, as part of the commitments made with the Junts party.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Agenda, Isabel Rodríguez, stated in the Senate that the Council of Ministers on December 9 will approve this compensation for owners in cases of rent non-payment, a measure on which she affirms that "the Executive began working as a royal decree-law months ago and will conclude now so that it can be in force this year".
"It's about providing guarantees and, above all, avoiding those discourses that feed fear," Rodríguez stated to the media before entering the Senate Plenary, although **he avoided giving details about what these guarantees will consist of.**In housing matters, Pedro Sánchez also highlighted that progress is being made in parliamentary proceedings to **speed up the processes for evicting occupied properties**, another of Carles Puigdemont's party's requests.In an interview for the Catalan radio station 'Rac1', reported by idealista.com, Pedro Sánchez announced that the Council of Ministers will approve a royal decree to facilitate and streamline investments by local entities and city councils, one of the measures agreed upon with Junts for their support of Sánchez's investiture in 2023Sánchez has explained that it will allow mayors to have more capacity to invest in projects that do not entail current expenses, such as **housing construction, water management**, and a long etcetera, for all city councils across the country.
This same royal decree will include, among other measures, the extension of the deadline to promote the digitalization of invoicing processes in companies, another request from Junts that had not yet been advanced
