Rents rise 8.8% in Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, and Fuerteventura in the last year

In the province of Las Palmas, the sixth most expensive in the country, you have to pay an average of 100 euros more per month than last year for an 80-meter apartment

The price of rentals in the province of Las Palmas, which includes Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, and Fuerteventura, rose by 8.8% in the last year, according to data from idealista.com.

The current average price per **square meter** in the province amounts to **15.4 euros**, 0.7% more than the previous month and 1.4% more than three months ago.

Thus, for an 80-meter apartment, the average monthly rent in the province was 1,136 euros a year ago, while today it costs almost a hundred euros more, that is, 1,232 euros. 

On a national level, the year-on-year increase is even greater, rising to 9.9%, bringing the average price per square meter to 14.6 euros. This figure represents an increase of 0.3% in the last three months and 0.6% compared to the last month.

Rental prices have risen in 49 Spanish provinces in the last year, with the only exception being Cáceres (-2.5%).  

Las Palmas is the sixth most expensive province in the country to rent, only behind Madrid (21 euros); Barcelona (20.6 euros); Balearic Islands (19.1) Malaga (16.6 euros), Gipuzkoa (16.3 euros).
