The Canary Islands Housing Institute (ICAVI), attached to the Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Mobility of the Government of the Canary Islands, headed by Pablo Rodríguez, has published the resolutions corresponding to the first payment of 2026 of the Young Rent Bonus from the 2025 call.
Specifically, two differentiated resolutions have been published: one corresponding to the general line of the call and another related to the specific line for Lanzarote. Both authorize the payment of subsidies corresponding to the rent receipts submitted and duly justified by the beneficiaries during the already expired subsidy period.
The second line was born from a modifying addendum to the specific cooperation agreement with the Canary Islands Housing Institute (ICAVI) by the Cabildo of Lanzarote, with which it injected an extraordinary economic allocation of 578,000 euros for the new call for the Young Rent Bonus of 2026. It was the only Cabildo in the Canary Islands to do so.
Thus, once the general and regional financial allocation of the Young Bonus for approximately 1800 applications from the Canary Islands was exhausted, another 161 applications from Lanzarote and La Graciosa that were still on the waiting list will be directly funded from this new allocation.
The resolutions can be consulted on the notice board of the electronic headquarters of the Government of the Canary Islands and are also available on the website of the Canary Islands Housing Institute for consultation by interested parties.
With the publication of these resolutions, the Canary Islands Housing Institute continues to advance in the processing of this call, with the aim of guaranteeing the payment of aid and facilitating access to and maintenance of housing for rent for the young population of the Canary Islands.
