Lanzarote already has 7,226 vacation homes spread around the entire island. According to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) published by the Lanzarote Data Center, these accommodations are spread over a total of 33,364 places, which means 4.6 places available per tourist home.
To obtain these data, a program has been used that collects the advertisements from the three main accommodation platforms and eliminates those that are repeated. In addition, the Canary Islands regulations on this type of place are taken into account.
The municipality that offers the largest number of tourist homes is Yaiza, accounting for 29.9% of those offered in Lanzarote, or what is the same, a total of 2,161 vacation homes advertised on real estate portals. After her, Tías accounts for 25.6% of these tourist accommodations and Teguise about 22%.
Far from these figures are areas such as Haría (603 homes), Arrecife (460), San Bartolomé (325), and Tinajo (238).
