Homes are no longer selling as quickly in Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, and Fuerteventura

The percentage of homes for sale whose listing lasts less than a week, falls four points in the province and is below the national average

The percentage of homes for sale that do not last even a week on the market in the province of Las Palmas, made up of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and Gran Canaria, reached 12% during the first quarter of 2026, according to data provided by the portal Idealista.com. The figure is four points lower than a year ago when it was 16% of the total. 

22% of the homes advertised in the province of Las Palmas lasted less than a month, while another 20% took three months, 30% between three months and a year, and 15% more than a year.  

Nationally, 13% of the homes sold through idealista during the first quarter of 2026 had not been on the market for even a week. A year ago, the percentage was the same. Another 23% took between one week and one month to sell; another 22% between one and three months; 31% took between three months and a year, and 11% more than a year. 

Navarra and Burgos are the provinces with the highest percentage of "express sales," reaching 22% of those registered on idealista in the first quarter. They are followed by the provinces of Álava (19%), Asturias (18%), Zaragoza (18%), Segovia (17%). Madrid, Vizcaya, A Coruña, and Ávila (with 16% in all 4 cases). 

Teruel is the province with the lowest incidence of express sales, with 2% of sales in the first quarter. They are followed by Almería (9%), Girona, Cantabria, Jaén, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Murcia, Lugo, and Palencia, which share 10%.
