In the search for a residential rental, Alicante and Balearic Islands lead the provincial ranking of international demand, as in both provinces it represents 26% of the total residential rental searches. Málaga follows very closely, with 24%.
Next, the Canary Islands, where the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife registers 19% of international demand, while in the province of Las Palmas it is 17% of the total residential rentals. But before that, the province of Valencia surprises with 18%, marked by the explosive growth of international interest in the capital of Turia and its surroundings.
If the provincial figures are noteworthy, the municipal data is more conclusive. Andratx, in Mallorca, leads this ranking with 60% international demand, meaning that almost six out of 10 rental searches in this municipality come from outside Spain. Calpe and Moraira, both in the province of Alicante, exceed the 50% threshold, with 53% and 52% respectively. Calvià, also in the Balearic Islands, registers 52%.
In the Canary Islands, there are four municipalities that are among the eleven municipalities in Spain with the highest concentration of foreigners in long-term rental contracts.
In first place is the Gran Canaria town of Mogán, the sixth most in-demand municipality in Spain by foreigners, where 50% of the demand is international. As for the main nationalities, Norwegians occupy first place, followed by Germans and Italians.
Right after is San Bartolomé de Tirajana, where international demand reaches 48%. The nationalities most interested in a long-term rental are Germans, followed by Swedes and Dutch.
In Tenerife, we find Arona, where 47% of the demand is foreign. Italians occupy first place, followed by British and Germans.
Also Adeje, where international demand for residential rentals is 45%. In first place, Germans, followed by British and Italians.
