A winery from Lanzarote gets four awards in CINVE 2026

The awarded winery will collect three Gold Medals and one Silver next May 21st in Madrid

The family winery Malpaís de Máguez, located in the municipality of Haría, has achieved three Gold Medals and one Silver in the 2026 edition of the CINVE competition -International Wine and Spirits Contest. 

Under its brand La Grieta, it has achieved that its reference ´La Grieta Dry White 2025´ conquered the Gold Medal, reflecting as maximum exponent the quality of the Volcanic Malvasia, "highlighting the freshness characteristic of the Máguez surroundings". 

For its part, ´La Camuesa 2024´ won the Gold Medal in its category, which also achieved for La Grieta Rosado 2025, a reference that captivated the jury for its ¨chromatic elegance and its balance in the mouth¨. 

To close this year's awards list, La Grieta Afrutado 2025 won the Silver Medal as recognition for its harmony and ability to express the kindest and most aromatic side of Lanzarote's grape. 

For the owning family of Malpaís de Máguez, these awards are not just medals, but “the recognition of resilience and manual labor in a cultivation area as spectacular as it is demanding”, as affirmed by the manager and winemaker, Ricardo Socas. 

The delivery official of awards will take place next May 21 in Madrid, at the Hotel InterContinental.
