The wine Timanfaya Moscatel Dulce Selección 1999 has been awarded with the Gran Zarcillo de Oro, the highest award given at the Zarcillo 2025 Awards, destined to recognize a select group of wines of superior quality and international prestige.

In addition, the winery reinforces its record with a Zarcillo de Oro for its Malvasía Dulce Natural, an award it shares with the Flor de Chasna wine, from the Abona Designation of Origin (Tenerife).

The island completes its dominance thanks to the Silver obtained by El Grifo Malvasía Seco Colección, underlining the prominence of Lanzarote in this edition.

The Zarcillo Awards, one of the most prestigious wine competitions in Spain and a global benchmark in the world of wine, have the support of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (O.I.V.) and the Federation
World of Major Wine and Spirits Competitions (VINOFED).

In its 2025 edition, the contest evaluated more than 1,300 samples from various countries, through blind tastings conducted by a panel of more than 90 renowned experts national and international, under rigorous criteria
of quality and technical excellence.

With these recognitions, they explain from Timanfaya, "Lanzarote consolidates its position as a key territory in the quality viticulture in Spain, demonstrating the ability of its wineries to compete - and stand out - in international scenarios".

"The Gran Oro awarded to Moscatel Dulce Selección 1999 not only validates the technical excellence of the wine, but also underlines the ascending trajectory of Bodegas Timanfaya in the elaboration of prestigious sweet wines", they complete.
