Five wineries from Lanzarote have won eleven awards at the awards ceremony of the CINVE 2026 International Competition, held at the Hotel InterContinental in Madrid this week.
The winery from Lanzarote that received the most awards was Malpaís de Máguez, which took home four awards, a gold medal for each of the following wines: Los blancos Camuesa 2024 and La Grieta Seco 2025, and Grieta Rosado 2025. In addition, it obtained a silver for its sweet wine La Grieta Afrutado 2025.
The Lanzarote winery with the most significant awards was Vega de Yuco, which won two grand gold medals for its still wine Princesa Gara 2022 and its sparkling wine Princesa Fayna 2019.
Bodegas La Geria also won a grand gold medal for its Manto Diego Tres Meses en Barrica 2023, as did Bodega Erupción, which achieved a grand gold medal for its wine Luz de Obsidiana 2024.
For its part, Bodegas Martinón also had an excellent result with three awards: a gold medal for its Afrutado 2025, as well as for its Martinón Blanco Seco 2025, and a silver for its Blanc de Noirs 2024.
In this 22nd edition, products from the Canary Islands in general obtained a total of 61 recognitions, including three Grand Cinves, the highest award of the competition, which represents an increase of 48.78% compared to those achieved in the previous edition.
The CINVE competition, organized by Inversiones Sobrecases (INSOCferial), a company dedicated to the organization of conventions and trade fairs, has 22 years of history in which it has consolidated itself as an international benchmark in the wine sector.
Throughout its history, it has stood out for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and the international projection of quality products, and has become a meeting platform between tradition, talent, and avant-garde with tasters, sommeliers, journalists, and professionals from the sector from more than 40 countries.
