Vinopoesía returns, the festival of poetic, landscape, cultural, and enogastronomic exchange that in this edition links Lanzarote and Aranda de Duero. The third edition proposes recitals among vines, music in wineries, commented tastings, and interpretive routes that highlight two territories and two designations of origin: D.O. Vinos de Lanzarote and D.O. Ribera del Duero.
The program opens in Aranda de Duero from November 7 to 9 with three events. On Friday the 7th, the inauguration “Underground and Over Ash: The Union of Two Wine Landscapes” proposes a tour of emblematic places and underground wineries in the city, a unique oenological heritage that dialogues with the volcanic ash from Lanzarote.
On Saturday the 8th, "Lagar Entre Palabras" arrives at Bodega Severino Sanz (Montejo de la Vega de la Serrezuela), with a poetry recital and wine tasting from Severino Sanz (Ribera del Duero) and Vega de Yuco (Lanzarote).
On Sunday the 9th, "The Hands of Wine: Memory and Future" will be celebrated at Bodega Los Matucos (San Martín de Rubiales), an experience among vineyards and agricultural machinery that culminates with a commented tasting of Los Matucos (Ribera del Duero) and Bodega Guiguan (Lanzarote).
The festival takes over in Lanzarote from November 28 to 30. On Friday the 28th, it opens at Finca Testeina (Bodega Vega de Yuco) to present “Music, Poetry, and Wine,” which features recitals with performances by the timple player Alexis Lemes and commented tastings by Vega de Yuco (Lanzarote) and Severino Sanz (Ribera).
On Saturday the 29th, the "Hiking, Poetry, and Wine" event invites you to recite among vineyards with landscape interpretation by Senderismo Lanzarote, at **Bodega Guiguan** (Tinajo), with a tasting of Guiguan (Lanzarote) and Los Matucos (Ribera).
On Sunday the 30th, the closing event "Gastronomy, Music, Poetry, and Wine" at Bodega La Geria will pair Canarian products with a recital and tasting from La Geria (Lanzarote) and Linaje Garsea (Ribera).
Poets from the Amarillo Trigo association (Aranda de Duero) and authors from Lanzarote are participating, with a selection that includes, among others, Paula Esteban, Raúl Sanz Ocaña, Bea Sanz, Ainhoa Gelado (Aranda) and Ignacio Romero, César Rijo, Lorena Chenlo, Shaila Romero Perera, Acerina Francisco Hernández (Lanzarote).
Vinopoesía is co-directed by Paula Esteban, head of the Aranda de Duero branch, and Ignacio Romero, in charge of the Lanzarote branch. Both articulate a program that brings poetry, territory, and wine into dialogue through experiences in wineries and landscapes.
Regarding the participating wineries, this edition brings together in Lanzarote Vega de Yuco (Finca Testeina), Guiguan, and La Geria; and in Ribera del Duero, Severino Sanz, Los Matucos, and Linaje Garsea. Their spaces—wine presses, underground cellars, and vineyards—serve as settings for recitals, music, and guided tastings.
The festival is sponsored by the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Lanzarote Tourism, the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Vinos de Lanzarote, the Tinajo City Council, and the Aranda de Duero City Council, as well as the collaboration of Senderismo Lanzarote, Asociación Amarillo Trigo, and the host wineries.
