Bodegas El Grifo has brought together in Lanzarote eight restaurants distinguished with a Michelin Star in some exclusive days of wine tourism, landscape and culture, on the occasion of its 250th anniversary.
During two days of celebration, sommeliers and owners of some of the best restaurants in Spain lived an immersive experience in the history, territory and philosophy of El Grifo, one of the oldest in Spain founded in 1775 and without stopping making wine since then.
The Lanzarote restaurant Kamezí, awarded with a Michelin star last year, hosted representatives from El Casino de Madrid (two stars), and six other restaurants that have one star to their credit: Código de Barra (Cádiz), Raúl Resino (Castellón), Los Guayres (Gran Canaria), Nub (Tenerife), La Aquarela (Gran Canaria), San Hô (Tenerife).
The participants toured the centennial vineyards, visited the Museum and the Family House of the winery, enjoyed a private tasting led by the winery's oenologist, Elisa Ludeña.
In addition, they walked among the large holes of Finca Testeína and the slopes of the Juan Bello mountain to learn about regenerative viticulture practices and its innovative winter harvest, and tasted local cuisine in unique settings such as the Mirador de las Salinas, La Cascada de Puerto and the Emmax restaurant.
