Los Centros, Planes Gourmet Award for the Best Gastronomic Promotion in Spain

The award recognizes the Entity's effort "to consolidate the image of the island and become unique spaces for the enjoyment of local gastronomy." Vázquez: "It is an honor and a recognition of the work done by our professionals"

The Centers for Art, Culture and Tourism have received the Planes Gourmet Award in the category of Best Gastronomic Promotion in Spain during the celebration gala of the I edition of these awards, which took place last week in Madrid. 

The award recognizes the effort made by the Entity "to consolidate the image of Lanzarote as a gastronomic tourist destination and become unique spaces for the enjoyment of local gastronomy." 

Journalist Ángeles Blanco and renowned and award-winning chef Susi Díaz presented the award to the counselor of the Tourist Centers, Ángel Vázquez. "It is an honor and, at the same time, a recognition of the work done by our kitchen and dining room professionals to offer an experience that lives up to what we represent," Vázquez said. 

Created by Mediaset España and the AGR Food Marketing agency, the Planes Gourmet awards recognize the best gourmet products, proposals and gastronomic tourist experiences in our country. 

Other distinguished were 'From Valencia to Valencia' (Planes Gourmet Special Award 2025); Lindor (Award for the Best Brand Trajectory for its 75 years in the chocolate market); 'The Saffron Roads of La Mancha', (Award for the Best Gastronomic Route for highlighting the diversity and culinary richness of Castilla-La Mancha through a route that merges tradition, territory and innovation) and Alhambra (Award for the Best Gastronomy and Culture Product, for its ability to pair gastronomy and art, creating sensory experiences that elevate culinary enjoyment to a cultural expression). 

Maestros de Hojiblanca also obtained awards (Award for the best flavor of origin "for its unwavering commitment to the quality of olive oil and its ability to preserve and enhance the authentic flavor of origin"); Venari (award for the best gastronomic training project "for being the first international school of game gastronomy in the world, where game meat becomes haute cuisine"); Negrini (award for the best international product "for bringing to our country the best of the Italian tradition with products of excellence that conquer palates and professional kitchens"), and World Central Kitchen (Best for the World Award "for the tireless, visionary and deeply human work of those who cook to heal, unite and rebuild anywhere in the world, since where there is an emergency, there are the cooks turning the act of feeding into a gesture of humanity").

Prominent figures from the gastronomic and communication sectors such as Rafael Anson, president of the Ibero-American Academy of Gastronomy, honorary president of the International Academy and co-president of the European Community of New Gastronomy; chefs Pepe Solla, Ricard Camarena, Begoña Rodrigo, Nino Reduello, Pepa Muñoz and Rogelio Enriquez (President of the Academy of Gastronomy of Madrid) and television presenters Sandra Barneda, Verónica Dulanto, Nacho Abad, María Verdoy and Christian Gálvez, attended the gala held at the Círculo de Bellas Artes.
