Canary Islands returns to the Madrid Book Fair with its own stand and different activities to promote the diversity of our island literature where Lanzarote is having great prominence.
Under the name ‘Canarias’, the archipelago's literary stand, promoted by the Government of the Canary Islands, is located at number 431 in Zone 21C of the Block of Guilds and Publishing Associations.
The Canary Islands' corner at the country's largest literary fair offers visitors the opportunity to discover a wide representation of Canary Islands voices, works, and publishers, thus contributing to the national and international projection of the islands' literary creation in one of the main showcases of the publishing sector.
On the occasion of the inauguration, the round table 'Publishing from the Canary Islands' was held, in which Lana Corujo, Víctor Álamo de la Rosa, Rubén Acosta, Nauzet Pérez, and Jorge Liria participated, along with editor María José Alonso.
In addition, as part of the program, the Delegation of the Government of the Canary Islands in Madrid will host on June 8, at 7:00 p.m., a poetic-musical recital centered on the figure of the writer Alicia Llarena. The event will also feature the presence of the Minister of Universities, Science, Innovation and Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands, Migdalia Machín.
