Morocco Medical Expo has opened its doors this week in Casablanca, the largest fair in the health sector in Africa, in which Canary Islands companies will participate, seeking agreements in a complete agenda of meetings with importers, distributors, and institutional representatives from Morocco.
This commercial mission has been forged thanks to Proexca's sectoral plan to support the internationalization of Canary Islands companies in the health sector, an industry of international development with great possibilities for growth, especially in West African countries.
The Canary Islands companies that participate aim to learn about the African market, specifically the Moroccan market, the needs of the health system in this country, and explore possible avenues of collaboration with the main agents of this industry, in areas such as hospital services, medical equipment and devices, and health technologies, among others, in order to reach agreements to develop future expansion or knowledge transfer projects.
This fair, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Morocco, brings together pharmaceutical laboratories, medical and paramedical equipment companies, clinics, hospitals and medical centers, health technology and innovation, the optics and audiology industry, physiotherapy and rehabilitation equipment, biomedical engineering, and distributors and suppliers of health products.
The Canary Islands companies that attend are: Global Sani Hub, the cluster that brings together companies, public institutions, and research centers in the health sector and industry of the Canary Islands, with the aim of transforming the health sector and industry through innovation, sustainability, and digitization.
It also seeks to facilitate the development of high value-added projects and promote the transfer of knowledge, in order to improve people's health through high-impact technological solutions; Hospitales San Roque through two of its clinics, San Roque Las Palmas and San Roque Maspalomas; ophthalmological clinics Miranza, through Miranza Gran Canaria and Miranza Tenerife; Dimefarma de Canarias, dedicated to the import and distribution of medical and pharmaceutical products; and Gran Canaria Spa, Wellness and Health, an association of tourism, health, and wellness companies.
