The process of extraordinary regularization of immigrants, which began in April, has added a total of 262,475 affiliates to Social Security as of July 30, 2026, according to data from the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations.
Of these 262,475 affiliates, 213,883 were enrolled in the General Regime of Social Security, that is, 81.5% of the total, while 12,675 were self-employed workers (4.8%), 21,718 belonged to the special system for agricultural workers (8.3%), 14,054 to the domestic system (5.4%), and 155 to the maritime system (0.05%).
Furthermore, 60.3% were men (158,171) and 39.7% were women (104,304).
By autonomous communities, the Canary Islands is the fifth community with the most affiliations registered thanks to the regularization, 4.3% of the national total, and Madrid is the one that has added the most affiliates in this process, 19.8% of the total, followed by Catalonia (17.8%), Andalusia (12.7%), Valencian Community (12.1%), Castilla y León (4.4%), and the Canary Islands (4.3%).
Of the 37,525 people who applied to regularize their situation in the Canary Islands, almost a third are already affiliated with Social Security, 30.2%, the highest figure in the country. Next are Galicia, with 29.1%, Castilla León (28.8%), and Madrid (25.6%).
Thus, the trend in foreign affiliation, in general, has been particularly dynamic, as in the original series there are 3,512,223 average affiliates, 66,046 more than in June and 420,875 more than a year ago, representing a new historical record and 15.6% of the total.
"Foreign workers have made a fundamental contribution to the dynamism of employment," indicated the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations, Elma Saiz, in a statement sent to the media this Tuesday.
