A total of 9,215 people are called this Saturday to take the single exercise of the opposition to the Auxiliary Body of the autonomous Administration to opt for 299 positions by free turn.
The test, organized by the General Directorate of Public Function of the Ministry of Presidency, Public Administrations, Justice and Security of the Government of the Canary Islands, will be held starting at 10:00 a.m. at the university campuses of Guajara, in La Laguna, and Tafira, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Of the total number of positions called, 14 are reserved for the disability turn for people with a degree equal to or greater than 33%, while the rest correspond to the general turn, as reported by the Government this Thursday in a statement.
In addition, in accordance with the urgent measures law approved first as a decree-law in 2024 and subsequently as a law in 2025, 60 additional positions have been added for their possible coverage during the two years following the completion of the selective process.
Regarding the distribution of applicants, 4,558 people will take the test in Tenerife and 4,657 in Gran Canaria, which will require the use of almost all available classrooms on both campuses.
Specifically, 81 classrooms will be occupied on the Guajara campus of the University of La Laguna and 88 on the Tafira campus of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The qualifying tribunal will be made up of five titular members and will have the support of some 600 collaborating people to guarantee the correct development of the exam.
Due to the massive nature of the call, the General Directorate of Public Function has informed the Canarian Police, the local police of La Laguna and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the National Police, the General Directorate of Emergencies and the 112 service of the Government of the Canary Islands about the operation.
Likewise, the operation will have the presence of urgent medicalized sanitary transport during the development of the test.
After the completion of the exam, the Canarian Police will be in charge of collecting, transferring and guarding the tests until their delivery to the General Directorate of Public Function for their opening and correction.
