Lanzarote added 479 more affiliations to Social Security in February

Arrecife accounted for more than a third of the new contributors, while San Bartolomé only increased its number of Social Security affiliates by two people.

At the close of February, Lanzarote added a total of 69,532 affiliations to Social Security, 479 more than the previous month, according to data published by the Lanzarote Data Center with figures from the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC).

The number of contributors has increased in all municipalities on the island. More than a third of the new registrations have occurred in Arrecife, which added 165 new affiliations last February, bringing the total number of contributors in the capital to 28,217 people.

Next are the municipalities of Tías and Tinajo, which have added 63 and 61 new contributors respectively, bringing the total number of affiliates in Tías to 8,879 people and in Tinajo to 3,127.

In Teguise, 53 new affiliations to Social Security have been recorded, bringing the total number of contributors in the municipality to 10,456 people.

Haría, for its part, added 16 contributors to Social Security in February, bringing its number of affiliates to a total of 2,220 workers.

The municipality where the number of contributors has increased the least has been San Bartolomé, where only 2 new registrations in Social Security occurred. The total for San Bartolomé amounts to 8,792 contributing people.
