The Ministry of the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands will propose in the next meeting of the Sectoral Table for the negotiation of civil servant personnel of the autonomous community to raise from 7 to 10% the quota of places reserved for candidates with disabilities in public employment offers.

"This measure aims to contribute to generating public employment for these people, within the competences that the Administration has in matters of disability management and the labor market," the Executive points out in a statement.

The general director of Public Function, Francisco Javier Rodríguez, recalls that the autonomous Administration will promote its public employment offer once Congress approves the general state budgets for 2024.

The department headed by Minister Nieves Lady Barreto also intends to promote internal promotion of civil servant personnel.
