More than 2,500 people have submitted their applications to participate in the selection tests for access, through the general system of free access, and to opt for one of the 150 positions in the General Corps of the Canary Islands Police, basic scale, (Group C, Subgroup C1), of the Public Administration of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands.

Once the registration period has ended, the process now enters the phase of verification and review of the documentation submitted by the aspiring individuals, in accordance with the specific bases of the call published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands.

The tests have been convened by the Ministry of Presidency, headed by Nieves Lady Barreto, through the Directorate General of Studies, Training and Research in Public Security, within the Public Employment Offer of 2024.

The selection process for the Autonomous Police contemplates different phases and requirements established for access to the corps, including theoretical, physical and psychotechnical tests, in addition to compliance with the conditions required in the call.
