The Ministry of Transport has set minimum services of 86% on domestic routes between Lanzarote and other islands or the peninsula during the strike of Ryanair's 'handling' staff, which starts this Friday, August 15, and will be repeated intermittently until December 31.

For Ryanair's international flights, the Ministry has set minimum services of 57% for Lanzarote.

The start of the strike will be on August 15, 2025 and affects all the company's bases and workplaces in Spain. It will take place between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and between 9:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m.

The strike is motivated by sanctions against workers who refuse to work non-mandatory hours, with "punishments of up to 36 days without employment or salary", according to UGT.

The strike will continue every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until December 31, 2025 inclusive, in the same time slots previously mentioned.

In the case of routes to or from non-peninsular territories, the minimum services will be between 76% and 87% in August, between 69% and 86% in September, and between 59% and 83% in October.

For peninsular routes without a transport alternative of less than five hours, the figures will range between 54% and 63%, while, if the duration is shorter, it will be reduced from 27% to 40%.
