The Tías City Council informs of the opening, next Friday August 20, of the voluntary period for the payment of the main municipal taxes and fees, which will last until October 20. During this period, taxpayers will be able to pay their bills without surcharges, both in person and through the council's Electronic Office.
The Councilor for Finance, Tomás Silvera, recalls that the voluntary period is the time established by the regulations for the payment of taxes and fees that are put up for collection. Once this period has ended, surcharges and other expenses will be applied. The council maintains an email address to resolve doubts and assist taxpayers: recaudacion@ayuntamientodetias.es
Regarding the payment procedure, "those who have a digital certificate can download the corresponding bill through the Electronic Office, also available on our website, without needing to go to the City Council," explains Silvera.
The voluntary payment period for bills affects the Mechanical Traction Vehicle Tax (IVTM), Real Estate Tax (IBI), Economic Activities Tax (IAE), domestic and industrial solid urban waste collection fee, driveway fee, access or permanent parking reservation fee, fee for the installation of ATMs, and fee for the occupation of public land with tables and chairs.
The 2026 fiscal calendar can be consulted on the homepage of the municipal website. Likewise, the Tías City Council will collect the bills for all previously direct-debited taxes on September 4, except for the previously direct-debited bills for IBI and IAE, which will be charged by the banks on October 5.
Tomás Silvera recalls that since 2021, personalized and interest-free payment plans have been implemented, in addition to 5% discounts for prior direct debit of all municipal taxes.
On December 31, the deadline for submitting applications for discounts effective for the following year, as well as applications for personalized payment plans, will end.
