The company Kanarinolta, S.L., based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, has been awarded the service of rental, maintenance, and management of printers for the municipal offices of Teguise for the next four years.
The award has been formalized this month for a total amount of 1,160,407.35 euros (taxes included), after obtaining the maximum possible score of 100 points in the economic valuation and energy efficiency criteria.
The contract includes the supply of A4/A3 multifunction units on a rental basis without an option to purchase, intended to renew and maintain the IT equipment for reprographics in the various municipal areas.
The contract, processed through an open procedure and subject to harmonized regulation, will allow for the replacement of current equipment. With this action, the council seeks to guarantee the correct operational functioning of municipal services, centralize the supply of consumables, and optimize printing and scanning costs.
The winning firm, Kanarinolta, S.L., is a Canarian entity specializing in reprographics solutions, document management, and distribution of printing equipment, acting as an official distributor of Konica Minolta in the archipelago.
To comply with the technical requirements of the specifications in this contract, the company will mandatorily maintain at least one assigned technician with permanent residence on the island of Lanzarote, which will guarantee direct technical assistance and the response times required for any incident in the local offices.
A deployment of 42 pieces of equipment in the municipality's offices and La Graciosa
The award includes the installation of 42 brand-new multifunction units with different features adapted to the needs of each department.
The new devices will be distributed in the offices of the City Hall, the Technical Office, Social Services, Local Police, the Tax Network, the Civic Centers of Costa Teguise, and the municipal offices on the island of La Graciosa, among other locations in the municipality.
In addition to the supply of the devices, the awarded company will assume, during the four years of the contract, the preventive and corrective in situ maintenance, the replacement of original parts, the proactive supply of consumables such as toners, and the management and collection of generated waste.
Likewise, the proposal includes the implementation of a software tool for the remote monitoring of printers, the management of use by personnel through active directory credentials, and the control of energy consumption.
The company will have a maximum period of two months from the signing of the contractual document to complete the installation and commissioning of all units in the assigned centers.
