Turning good ideas into projects capable of generating a positive impact on society and the environment is the objective of the Sustainable Talent Awards, which this year celebrate their fourth edition. The Líneas Romero Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa announce the opening of a new call for entries with which they seek to continue giving visibility to entrepreneurial talent and support initiatives that place sustainability at the center of their activity.
The call is aimed at entrepreneurs, companies, and organizations that develop innovative and viable proposals, capable of responding to current economic, social, and environmental challenges. The initiative supports projects that go beyond the idea and propose solutions with the capacity for development, continuity, and real impact.
José Valle, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, highlights the importance of generating opportunities for sustainable business initiatives to grow and consolidate. In this regard, he points out that "in the Canary Islands, we have enormous entrepreneurial potential, and our commitment from the Chamber is to accompany and structure that talent so that it transforms into consolidated, competitive projects with a clear vocation for permanence in the territory. This fourth edition demonstrates that sustainability and innovation are essential levers to ensure the competitiveness of our productive fabric and move towards a truly responsible economic model."
Federico Romero, president of the Líneas Romero Foundation, emphasizes that "Líneas Romero has grown thanks to the Canary Islands and its people, and from the Foundation, we feel the responsibility to give back to society part of what it has given us. These awards are a way of doing so, supporting talent and helping good ideas become projects capable of generating a positive impact in our environment." He also adds that "reaching this fourth edition is an enormous satisfaction, especially when observing how the awards have grown, both in participation - 42 candidacies in the last edition - and in the quality and ambition of the proposals we receive from all over the archipelago."
The initiative also has the collaboration of Bankinter, whose support helps to reinforce the scope of these awards and their objective of promoting sustainable projects with growth potential. In the previous edition, the entity offered financial services on preferential terms to the best-rated projects, with the aim of facilitating their launch or development.
Sustainability with real impact
The Sustainable Talent Awards promote initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the principles of corporate social responsibility. To this end, proposals that foster responsible entrepreneurship, promote the circular economy and ecological transition, and contribute to generating social, economic, and environmental benefits will be valued.
One of the fundamental principles of the call is the integration of the three dimensions of sustainability—economic, social, and environmental—with the aim of recognizing projects that can provide solutions to present challenges and contribute to the sustainable development of the Canary Islands.
The winner will receive an economic endowment of 5,500 euros and an accreditation diploma. In addition, the best-rated projects may have access to financial services on preferential terms offered by Bankinter, aimed at facilitating their launch or development.
How to submit candidacies
Interested individuals, companies, and organizations can submit their projects in digital format through the official awards website: www.premiostalentosostenible.com.
The submission period begins today, October 21, 2026, and will end on January 31, 2027.
The confidentiality of the candidacies will be guaranteed throughout the process. A jury composed of members from the organizing entities will evaluate the proposals according to pre-established criteria, with the possibility of incorporating representatives from public or private organizations with recognized experience in the field.
With this fourth edition, the Líneas Romero Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa renew their commitment to talent and innovation as drivers of transformation, betting on initiatives that contribute to a more sustainable and responsible development model.
