The price of used tourism in the Canary Islands increased in August compared to the same month of the previous year by 5.8% and an average of 12,319 euros was paid per vehicle, according to data from the National Association of Vehicle Dealers (Ancove).
In the national aggregate, second-hand tourism cost 13,466 euros in the month, 3.4% more expensive than in August 2025.
In monthly terms (over July 2026), the price of used tourism rose by 1.9% in the community, compared to an increase of 0.5% in the national average.
Ancove data indicates that for older second-hand cars - over 8 years old -, the average price in the Canary Islands stood at 9,938 euros, an 8.4% year-on-year increase, in contrast to the 11,146 euros paid on average in the month in Spain, with an increase of 6.7%.
In monthly terms (over July 2026), the price of used tourism increased by 0.7% in the community, with a national average of 0.1%.
The segment of tourism over 8 years old accounts for 62.7% of total sales in the community, compared to 63.8% nationally. Las Palmas registered the largest year-on-year price increase in the Canary Islands in August.
