The percentage of people who make it to the end of the month without difficulty suffered a great decrease in the last quarter of last year in Lanzarote.
According to the Consumer Confidence Indicators prepared by the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC), those who have no problem covering their monthly expenses have fallen from 22.7% recorded between July and September to 9.4% in the last quarter.
Meanwhile, the number of people who make it to the end of the month with difficulties in Lanzarote rises slightly, reaching 66.5% at the end of 2024, while it rose to 64% between July and September.
Among them, there are 34.3% who make it to the end of the month with great difficulty, while 32.2% do so with some difficulty.
On the other hand, just as there is a large decrease in the number of citizens who have no problem facing their payments, those who make it to the end of the month with some ease increase in similar proportion, rising from 13.3% to 23.8%.
