Washing area in MAYCAN Lanzarote

At the recent gala of the LIT Lighting Design Awards, held in the historic Banking Hall of London, MARABA, the independent lighting design studio from Lanzarote, has been recognized with one of the awards in the Industrial Buildings category.

The award was given for its "innovative contribution" to the lighting design in the MAYCAN car wash workshop in Lanzarote.

MAYCAN's lighting proposal has completely transformed this space, implementing "a visual game that not only fills the interior with color but also opens the workshop to the exterior, creating an attractive visual identity."

"The strategic use of LED linear luminaires on the exterior enhances the entrances and service areas, setting the tone for a comprehensive experience from the outset," explain from Maraba.

Inside, the transformation continues with a "careful decoration in the cafeteria and rest area, where pulley-shaped luminaires not only provide ample lighting, but also create a unique atmosphere that enhances the overall customer experience," they add.

"The optimization of productivity and visual comfort in the workspace is achieved through symmetrical luminaires with opal diffusers that prevent glare, ensuring a high level of comfort for employees," they conclude.
