The Lanzarote firm, Macaronesia, and other Canary Island designers, on the Gran Vía in Madrid

Creators from all the islands have participated in a weekend of sales in the showroom on the fifth floor of Gran Vía 6 in Madrid

The island fashion program of the Cabildo de La Palma through Sodepal has held a commercial promotion event, Shopping Weekend by Isla Bonita Moda, in Madrid with 13 brands from La Palma and in which, thanks to the collaboration with Proexca, firms from different islands of the Canarias Islas de Moda project also participate, including the swimwear firm from Lanzarote Macaronesia.

The joint commitment to go abroad with the same brand, Canarias Islas de Moda, has welcomed the firms of El Hierro Yuriy and DRMA who have participated for the first time under this seal and have done so successfully in this pop up that has welcomed in Madrid the best of contemporary design from the Canary Islands.

Since last Friday, May 30, coinciding with Canary Islands Day, and during the weekend, the designs of these artists have been sold in the showroom on the fifth floor of Gran Vía 6, one of the enclaves of the capital. Shopping Weekend has been more than a commercial event, it is the proposal of dynamization activities that have included live music, media, as well as the participation of celebrities and prescribers of the sector, all focused on generating greater reach and visibility for the participating firms.

For the Councilor for Economic Promotion of the Cabildo Insular de La Palma, Miriam Perestelo, it represents a fundamental step in the marketing and visibility strategy for fashion firms in La Palma and the rest of the islands. "Madrid is a key place to access new markets and consumers, and this type of action allows the creative talent of our brands to be recognized, valued and, above all, consumed beyond the regional sphere," she added.

On behalf of Isla Bonita Moda, the participating firms have been: Alex Menorca, Atelier El Tesoro, Ban, Diazar, Julia Brito, Lepa Punca, Mararte, Maru La Palma, Pedro Ferreiro, Rayco Plata, Sara Luis Joyas, Shamelu, Waleska Morín.

On behalf of Tenerife Moda, Pendientera has participated, on behalf of Gran Canaria Moda Cálida, the firm Alma&Canaria and . In addition, the aforementioned Yuriy and DRMA from El Hierro Moda Con Alma.

Adlib Ibiza has attended as a guest firm, thus underlining the creative richness of each island and highlighting insularity as a differentiating element in fashion.
