The Cabildo of Lanzarote and La Graciosa has reported this Monday that the next edition of the Saborea Lanzarote Enogastronomic Festival, initially planned for late November, will be moved to the weekend of March 19-21, 2027, as a consequence of the early elections.
As explained by the island's main institution, the modification of the dates will allow the Festival to be developed with "the necessary organizational and operational guarantees for a meeting that brings together producers, wineries, restaurateurs, professionals, and companies linked to the enogastronomic sector of Lanzarote and La Graciosa".
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, explains that "we have considered that the most responsible decision is to move Saborea Lanzarote to March. The new electoral calendar situation conditions the initially planned dates and an event of this magnitude requires planning, coordination, and all guarantees for the sector and for the thousands of people who participate each year".
Betancort adds that "Saborea Lanzarote has become one of the great showcases of our local product and our gastronomy. We want the next edition to maintain the level achieved and for producers, restaurateurs, wineries, and professionals to be able to prepare it with time and a clear calendar".
Likewise, the Minister of Economic Promotion, Nori Machín, points out that "the change of date allows us to continue working with the sector on an edition that will feature Lanzarote's product as the protagonist. From now on, we have a new date on which to continue coordinating the programming and the participation of all the agents involved".
The organization had initially set the celebration of Saborea Lanzarote 2026 for November 28 and 29 in the Villa de Teguise, within the planning agreed between the Cabildo, SPEL–Turismo Lanzarote, and the Centers of Art, Culture, and Tourism. The Cabildo will continue to work with the island's enogastronomic sector in the organization of the Festival and in the definition of its programming, the details of which will be announced progressively ahead of its celebration in March 2027.
