The Canary Islands chain specializing in perfumery, cosmetics, and beauty, Fund Grube, has undertaken a renovation in its management structure with the appointment of Ramón Marquina de Padura as general director. Marquina has more than five years of experience within the group itself, in addition to an extensive career linked to the sector.

Ramón Marquina de Padura holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from Comillas Pontifical University ICAI-ICADE. His professional career includes various responsibilities in large companies in the distribution sector, including the Auchan group, where he worked in different markets, and E.Leclerc. In 2021, he began his tenure at Fund Grube, progressively assuming positions of increasing responsibility until occupying the roles of Director of Purchasing and Logistics, Director of Operations, and subsequently, Business Director.

Fund Grube was born in 1983 at the hands of brothers Girdhari and Manu Chhabria, of Indian origin, and is currently led by Dhiraj Chhabria, a member of the second family generation, who serves as chairman and CEO. After more than four decades of activity, the company has established itself as one of the main multi-brand chains in the Canary Islands.

In Lanzarote, Fund Grube maintains a significant commercial presence through establishments located in some of the island's main tourist and commercial centers, including Arrecife, Puerto del Carmen, and Playa Blanca.

The activity developed in Lanzarote constitutes one of the company's pillars, driven by both the high flow of international tourists and the demand from residents for top-brand perfumery, cosmetic, and accessory products.

Across the Canary Islands, Fund Grube remains one of the main references in the commercial sector. The company currently has more than 50 establishments distributed throughout the archipelago, consolidating a network backed by decades of activity on the islands.

Its commercial offering combines a wide range of international brands with a model aimed at both shopping tourism and resident consumers. This presence has made Fund Grube one of the prominent players in commercial distribution and a relevant piece within the economic activity of the sector in the Canary Islands.

In 2025, the company also began a new phase of growth with its arrival and expansion in the Peninsula, within a strategy that contemplates reaching 200 million euros in turnover in 2026.
