The San Bartolomé City Council has opened deadline for participating in the aptitude tests for obtaining the municipal taxi driver's license, a mandatory requirement to be able to drive auto-taxis within the municipality. Interested individuals may submit their application until March 19.
The call aims to facilitate the incorporation of new professionals into the sector and ensure that those who carry out this activity have the necessary training and knowledge about the municipality and the service regulations.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, has highlighted that “from the City Council we continue working to strengthen an essential public service such as the taxi, offering opportunities for new professionals to join the sector and contribute to improving mobility in our municipality”.
For his part, the Councillor for Transport, Raúl de León, highlights that “with this call we give the opportunity to those people interested in working as taxi drivers to obtain the municipal permit, ensuring at the same time that they have the necessary knowledge about the municipality and the operation of the service”.
The selective test will consist of a single exercise divided into two parts, one theoretical and one practical. The theoretical part will consist of a fourteen-question test, while the practical part will evaluate the candidates' ability to identify and locate places of interest in the municipality on street maps.
To pass the tests it will be necessary to correctly answer at least 8 of the 14 questions of the test and correctly locate at least one of the three places indicated in the practical test.
The tests will be held on April 17 2026 at 10:00 hours in municipal facilities of the San Bartolomé City Council.
Interested persons must submit their application addressed to the Department of Transport of the San Bartolomé City Council along with the required documentation, which includes a copy of the DNI, medical certificate, driving license, passport-sized photograph and a sworn statement of citizen conduct, among other documents.
All the information about the call, as well as the application forms and the necessary documentation, is available on the bulletin board and the municipal website.
