Saborea Lanzarote will be present at the St. Patrick’s Festival Puerto del Carmen 2026, which takes place on March 15, 16 and 17, with a large stand dedicated to the promotion and tasting of some of the most representative products of the island gastronomy.

The initiative is organized by the Economic Promotion Area of the Cabildo, directed by Nori Machín,who visited this week the assembly work in the Varadero square of this promotional space, which is part of the economic revitalization strategy for local products.

Saborea Lanzarote will once again bring residents and visitors a sample of the gastronomic potential of the territory through producers, wineries, processors and culinary proposals that reflect the identity of the island, in a new action of its strategy that has also had its specific promotional activities in Dublin during recent years.

During his visit, Machín highlighted the importance of leveraging consolidated events on the island's calendar to strengthen the entire value chain linked to gastronomy: “The presence of Saborea Lanzarote at an international festival of such scope as St. Patrick’s Festival allows us to continue boosting the island's economy through promotional actions that highlight our product, our restaurants, the primary sector, and commerce”.

Machín also stressed that the Cabildo also seeks to consolidate a tourism model based on quality, consumption at destination and knowledge of local product, especially among a market as important for Lanzarote as the Irish one.

Gastronomy, product and landscape

In this sense, the participation of Saborea Lanzarote seeks to further loyalize the Irish visitor, bringing them closer to the zero kilometer products of the island through direct gastronomic experiences with local producers and chefs.

Likewise, the initiative focuses on sustainability, showing how the consumption of local product contributes to preserving the unique agricultural landscape of Lanzarote, and on the circular economy, by directing the expenditure generated by the event towards producers, restaurateurs, and professionals of the island's gastronomic sector.

The presence of Saborea Lanzarote materializes in a space specifically designed for the festival, which will include exhibition and tasting of local product, audiovisual content, lighting and decorative elements that will reinforce the identity of the gastronomic brand.

The objective is "establish a lasting connection with the Irish visitor so that, once they return to their country, they keep in their memory Lanzarote's gastronomy as one of the great experiences of their stay on the island".

The St. Patrick’s Festival Puerto del Carmen 2026, which will take place in the historic area of La Tiñosa, gathers thousands of residents and visitors each year around Irish culture, music, gastronomy and various sports and cultural activities.

The festival is organized by the Tías City Council and Kalma Events and Productions, with the collaboration of the Lanzarote Cabildo, SPEL-Lanzarote Tourism, Art, Culture and Tourism Centers (CACT) and the Government of Canary Islands, through Promotur Canary Islands Tourism.
