The main national fuel refining operators in Spain explained to the Government that there will be no kerosene problems in May and that they are working to have sufficient supply in June.

Thus Repsol, Moeve and BP, which control the country's main refineries, conveyed it to the third vice president and minister for Ecological Transition, Sara Aagesen in a meeting held last Monday, according to what the newspaper El País has reported.

To achieve this, they are trying to increase imports or refine more in our country to compensate for the 20% drop due to the conflict. In fact, the eight refineries that exist in Spain are increasing their production.

Precisely Josu Jon Imaz, CEO of Repsol, owner of the largest refinery park nationwide, warned at a meeting organized by El Español that there is risk of scarcity of fuel, in particular kerosene.

The third vice-president, for her part, assured that Spain produces 80% of the jet fuel it needs, a percentage higher than that of other countries in our environment. She also  affirmed that as of today there are no scarcity problems, but avoided making forecasts for the coming months.
