The official tender budget for building and civil engineering works by the Public Administrations exceeded in Canarias 1,604 million euros in 2025.
This represents a 61.3% more than in the previous year. This is one of the data points that appears in the Official Bidding Statistics in Construction published by the Instituto Canario de Estadística (ISTAC).
This increase is much more intense than that which has occurred in the country as a whole, where the amount budgeted in 2025 increased by 6.2%.
The majority of the budget is borne by the Canarian regional and local administrations which have tendered 95.6% of the total, a figure that exceeds 1534 million euros. In addition, with respect to 2024, they have increased their tender budget by just over 686 million.
By type of work, less than 40% is allocated to residential, industrial, agricultural building and other types of service provision (608 million euros); while the majority corresponds to other infrastructure works other than building.
