The data comes from the latest Island Issues Survey, carried out by the Cabildo de Lanzarote on July 12 and 13, which also included in its questions the consultation on the salary that the new president of the island's first institution, Oswaldo Betancort, should receive.

The interviews also included questions about the economic situation of households. According to the survey, 68% of Lanzarote residents have a positive perception of their own economy.

Only 16% consider the situation of their household economy to be negative. While another 16% consider it to be regular.

The survey included 300 valid interviews and the organizers consider that it has a margin of error of ± 5.6% and a confidence level of 95.5%.
