The Deputy Minister of Economy and Internationalization of the Canary Islands Government and Vice President of Proexca, Gustavo González de Vega, has received eleven technology companies selected by Proexca technicians to participate in the third edition of the Canary Islands Latam Tech program.
In total, eleven companies have been selected; two from Argentina, five from Colombia, one from Panama, and three from Peru. All show internationalization indexes, with business solvency and viability to do so
The companies are called Pss, Cielum Health, Lanzcom Audiovisual, Tiempo de Cine, Calificadas, Soluciones Etech Corp, Packsa, Ixora, Greendeal, Distrifood del Caribe, and Legado.
"This initiative seeks to foster **commercial and knowledge exchange relationships** between the Canary Islands and Latin America, specifically in industries related to technological innovation, which have been growing the most in the archipelago in recent years," González de Vega stated.
The companies selected to participate in this edition have been chosen by Proexca technicians for their potential and the viability they present for opening a branch in the Canary Islands, as well as for the possibility of collaborating with local companies and developing products jointly.
In this edition, the selected companies have been chosen from the **more than 200 applications received** to participate last year, as they had shown real interest and only a dozen could be selected, now being offered an opportunity again.For these companies, the Canary Islands represent "a strategic point on the map, as it means operating in Europe and, furthermore, being close to the African market and also having a close understanding of the possibilities this continent offers for developing their innovation projects".
During this week, the delegation will be able to meet and visit relevant institutions for their mission, such as the Technology Parks of Gran Canaria and Tenerife, the Economic Promotion Society of Gran Canaria, or participate in highly relevant events for the ecosystem such as HUB intech and Conecta TIC, among other actions and presentations.
