During the summer season, Lanzarote will have fewer flights per week than last year, going from 665 last year to 652 this year, although capacity grows slightly, from 90,728 passengers last summer to 92,512.

The destination that adds the most flights is the United Kingdom, with which there will be 28 more flights per week, so the island is expected to receive 18.25% more tourists from this market.

Meanwhile, Lanzarote's inter-island connections are the ones that lose the most flights compared to last year. The total number of inter-island flights per week falls from 284 in 2023 to 253 this summer, which is equivalent to 10.9% less capacity.

Air capacity also falls for Spanish airports on the peninsula, from 20,516 seats last year to 19,027 this year, which is equivalent to a drop of 7.2%.

Fewer flights with Italy, Germany and France, more with the Netherlands, Belgium and Morocco

The largest percentage decreases are with Italy and Germany, both losing three weekly flights with Lanzarote this summer. Thus, there will be 30.6% less capacity with Italy, which goes from 1,880 weekly seats last summer to 1,304 this year, and 14.7% capacity with Germany, which goes from 3,544 seats to 3,020.

Connectivity also falls with France, which loses two flights, so its capacity falls by 9.6% and goes from 3,891 weekly seats to 3,514.

On the other hand, connectivity increases with the Netherlands, which adds two flights and increases its capacity by 28.3% to 1,668 weekly passengers.

Belgium also adds, in this case one flight and increases its capacity by 18.3% to 1,252 passengers per week.

Direct flights to Marakech, Zagreb and Budapest

On the other hand, the connection with the Moroccan city of Guelmim, which Binter established last year, disappears, while Ryanair launches two direct flights with Marrakech a week this summer. Thus, capacity with the neighboring country goes from 72 weekly travelers to 378.

Ryanair also maintains this summer the connection with Zagreb, which it inaugurated in winter and with Budapest, which was not carried out during the summer last year.

Connectivity does not change with Switzerland, Czech Republic, Portugal, Poland, Luxembourg, Ireland, Slovakia and Denmark.
