The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and insular councilor of Agriculture and Livestock, Oswaldo Betancort, has formally requested from the councilor of Agriculture, Livestock, Fishing and Food Sovereignty of the Government of the Canary Islands, Narvay Quintero, that the registrations of producers from Lanzarote and La Graciosa in the Canary Islands Wine Register be expedited and updated.Betancort conveyed this demand, echoing the sector's demands, during the **working meeting held between the Cabildo and the Ministry** with primary sector professionals at the Experimental Agricultural Farm of Lanzarote. The Wine Register is an essential tool for winemakers to be able to compete and **access fundamental aid such as that from POSEI**.Meanwhile, councilor Narvay Quintero committed to reinforce all necessary resources to complete the update of the registry, aware of the existence of pending filesAmong the announced measures, the reactivation of field controls, the reinforcement and consolidation of new management tools, and greater coordination with regulatory councils and the public company GMR stood out, through a shock plan with concrete deadlines that guarantees more agile and transparent aid.The president of the Cabildo thanked the councilor for his receptiveness and positively valued his commitment to the sector.
