Lanzarote Airport registers 709,000 passengers in February, 0.5% more than last year

Despite the more moderate growth, the figure represents a new record and is equivalent to 150,000 more passengers in February than before the pandemic

The Lanzarote airport registered in February a total of 709,321 passengers, which is equivalent to a growth of 0.5% compared to last year.

The figure, despite reflecting a more moderate growth, represents a new record and 150,000 more passengers than before the pandemic. In February 2019 there were 552,120. 

The set of the airports of the Canary Islands recorded during the month of February a total of 4,546,710 passengers, which represents a 1.2% more than in the same month of 2025.

Of the total number of travelers registered, 4,528,534 corresponded to commercial flight passengers. Of these, 1,545,064 traveled on domestic flights, 0.1% less than in February last year, and 2,983,470 did so on international flights, exceeding by 2.1% the figure for the same month of 2025.


The Airport of Gran Canaria registered the highest number of passengers, with 1,354,603, which represents a 1.6% increase compared to February 2025.
It is followed by the Airport of Tenerife Sur, with 1,258,924 passengers and a 1.1% increase; Fuerteventura, with 547,745 (-2%); Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna, with 517,621 (+3.1%); La Palma, with 127,557 (+7.7%); El Hierro, with 22,747 (+3.8%); and La Gomera, with 8,192 passengers (-1.9%).

In the first two months of the year, the Canary Islands airports have registered 9,139,022 travelers, 0.6% more than in the same period of 2025.
Of the 9,101,290 commercial passengers, 3,128,239 traveled on domestic flights (-1.1%) and 5,973,051 did so on international flights, 2% more compared to the accumulated total for these months in 2025.
