Proexca reinforces the international promotion of the audiovisual sector for the coming months with a calendar of international actions that will be developed during the coming months of the year. A roadmap that combines the organization of its own initiatives with the presence in some of the main markets, festivals, and professional meetings of the global audiovisual industry, in coordination with the Canary Islands Audiovisual Cluster.

The program responds to an internationalization strategy that aims to continue positioning the Canary Islands as a reference territory for audiovisual production. Likewise, it will allow reinforcing the visibility of Canary Islands audiovisual sector brands in the main business spaces and facilitating new collaboration opportunities.

The calendar will kick off with participation in MiradasDoc, which will be held from September 8 to 12 in Guía de Isora (Tenerife), a festival specializing in documentary films with social themes and productions from developing countries. Just a few days later, from September 11 to 14, the Canary Islands will be present at IBC Amsterdam, from September 11 to 14, considered the main international event for the media, entertainment, and technology sectors.

The next major event will be the 74th edition of the San Sebastián International Film Festival, which will take place from September 18 to 26. As usual, the Canary Islands will have an institutional and business presence, in addition to organizing its own networking event as a meeting point for professionals, producers, and investors linked to the industry.

The agenda will continue in October, with two actions aimed at fostering investment attraction and the establishment of new companies in the archipelago. The first, on October 5, will be an incoming mission from Argentina, during which audiovisual producers will visit the Canary Islands to learn about the opportunities offered by the territory for future projects and business establishments. This initiative will be joined, as a second action, by an incoming mission from Japan, also planned for October, with the aim of generating new collaboration opportunities between Japanese companies and the Canary Islands audiovisual ecosystem.

That same month, from October 9 to 14, the Canary Islands will once again participate in MIPJunior and MIPCOM Cannes, the largest international market dedicated to content for television and digital platforms.

The activity will continue in November with the celebration of the Great Audiovisual Event Canary Islands 2026, which will take place in Gran Canaria. This event is in the organization phase, bringing together weekly the Governance, and the public and private agents involved for its synchronization.

For the moment, the international calendar for 2026 will conclude with participation in Content London, held from November 30 to December 3 in London, and considered one of the most relevant markets and conferences in the world for the development, financing, and co-production of television content.

With this program, Proexca reinforces its commitment to a continuous foreign promotion strategy that combines investment attraction actions with presence in the main international business forums. The objective is to continue projecting the capacity of the Canarian audiovisual sector, facilitate the internationalization of its companies, and consolidate the position of the Canary Islands as one of the most competitive audiovisual ecosystems in Europe.
