Air traffic inter-island between Lanzarote and the rest of the Canary Islands increased by 3.8% between January and April of this year compared to the same period last year, according to ISTAC statistics, provided by the Lanzarote Data Center.
The number of passengers reached 416,179 people, which represents almost 16,000 more than those who traveled by plane between islands with departure or destination Lanzarote between January and April 2025.
The largest increase occurred in flights connecting Lanzarote with Tenerife, 4.5%, equivalent to almost 6,000 more passengers for a total of 145,977 people.
With respect to flights to Gran Canaria, an increase of 3.3% has been registered compared to the same period last year, which represents about 9,000 more travelers for a total of 269,601 people.
The airline Binter has 101 weekly flights connecting Lanzarote with Gran Canaria, to which are added another 48 from Canaryfly.
For Tenerife North, Binter has 54 weekly flights with Lanzarote, while Canaryfly offers another 14. In addition, Binter has another 14 frequencies with Tenerife South from Lanzarote.
There were also a couple of charter flights from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura that moved 388 travelers and others to La Palma with 227 passengers.
Binter's regular flights from Lanzarote to La Palma return in the summer season.
